Arena tour, Alsou supporting Westlife (22.03.05 Nottingham)
So finally the day had come, I was among the 6000 people at Nottingham Ice Arena to see "Westlife", but for me that was not what I was after.
So to start it all off, I desided today that I should go to the concert and see Alsou, I bought tickets today and went home, charged my camera batteries and I went to Ice Arena. First thing that made me think this would be a good day was the lack of security, I was afraid to lose my camera, but they didnt eaven check, so in I went with my camera and everything. I went down to my seet about 40 minutes before the show began. And to my big happiness the seat I had was very good, about 15 meters from stage. But I wanted to get closer so I went and talked to a security person and told him what i was after and that I have a web page about Alsou and said I was after some good pictures, so he said let me see what I can do. So a little later he came back to me with a man in a black suit, and it turned out that this person was the supervisor of the show, the top man, he was in charge, and he said I could go where I wanted to get the pictures i wanted. So when Alsou came on stage i was about 5 meters away from here. It was great. But anyway the pictures didnt turn out to good because of the light was very dim and the flash didn't help on such a distance, but still they are OK pictures. But the most important thing is that I have "Wish I Didn't Know" on video, 3 minutes and 26 seconds long video clip, it is great to look at but sounds not so good.
So about the songs. First song was "Someone Is U".
It was a very nice upbeat song and it the crowd seemed to like it a lot. She
then told everyone who she was and where she was from, I have that part on
video, and she then started singing "Teardrops", it was a new version
that i havent heard before, it had drums and a upbeat rythm, it was a very
cool version of it. Song #3 was "Always On My Mind", which she said
people might have heard before. And they were running a commercial for the
single on a video screen, and you could actually win a dinner date with Alsou.
Song #4 was the last song :( and that was the "Wish I Didn't Know",
it was an exellent concert song, with cool dancing; I have a video clip of
this. I have short clips of all the other songs too :-) I made 7 miniutes
of video total, and I took 12 pictures. Could have taken more pictures but
I thought it was cooler to have video. But anyway, it was great, and i will
go to her concert again if I get a chance to.
