Thanks to all of you who came along to chat to Russian pop sensation Alsou on Wed April 25. We had lots of interesting questions, and an especially high number of Russian fans turned up, which gave our chatroom a very international flavour! Alsou really enjoyed answering all your questions, and impressed us all at Lycos HQ with her cosmopolitan charm.

Alsou: Hi everybody! Alsou here - how is everybody?
Versus Kru: Who are your favourite British Artists?
Alsou: I like Craig David, All Saints, Texas, Robby Williams and lots of others.....
uberfazz: Yo Alsou. How do u like being compared to artists like Britney Spears?
Alsou: There will always be comparisons no matter what type of music a girl my age does, I want to be individual and have my own style of music.
uberfazz: Do you write your own songs? If so, what kind of things inspire you?
Alsou: Yes I am a songwriter as well, I write mainly ballads - feelings and emotions are what inspire me most.
Aleks Chebotov: do you have a boyfriend?
Alsou: Not anymore!
Gengis_Khan: If you had to do a duet with another artist, either male or female, who would it be?
Alsou: I have done a duet with Enrique Iglesias and he was a real pleasure to work with.

Paul Williams: What do you prefer in england than you do in your native Russia?
Alsou: There are more places to hangout like clubs and cinemas.
Leify: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
Alsou: By then I am hoping to be known all over the world and maybe get into movies.

Alsou: Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Toni Braxton have always been my idols.
Annathebest1: Alsou, on which language you're thinking and seeing dreams at night?
Alsou: It depends where I am.
Ben Lyttle: Does your name have any specific meaning in Russian.
Alsou: Yes, it means pink water.

Alsou: I love drawing and painting, playing piano and talking on the phone!
Stuart Bunce: Will you be touring the UK soon?
Alsou: I have a promotional tour planned for the summer in the UK and all over Europe.
Saqi9: If u weren't a singer, what would u like to be?
Alsou: A fashion or interior designer.
Liza: Do you have any pets?
Alsou: No, but I love dogs.
Krolya: Alsou,what is your favourite European country?
Alsou: I love living in England but for holidays I like going to the south of France.
Micheal Dixon: If you were a kangoroo what would you keep in your pouch?
Alsou: My discman and my mobile telephone.
Alexander_HAS: Are u going to continue your education?
Alsou: I have my last A level exam this June and then I am concentrating on my career.
James: What inspired you to become a singer?
Alsou: Hero by Mariah Carey
Paul Smith: What age did you start performing at and are you really only 17?
Alsou: I've wanted to be a singer since the age of 10 and my first big performance was when I was 15, and yes, I am 17!
Nicola Vince: Who's your favourite member of Friends?
Alsou: Joey
Huw Griffith: How does it feel to be one of the most beautiful women in the world?
Alsou: Thankyou. It is a nice thought but not the most important.
Dan Elkington: How much of your success do you owe to the Eurovision song contest?
Alsou: Only a small proportion but it has helped to get people more enthusiastic about this project.
Michelle Roberts: What's your favourite food?
Alsou: Italian lasagne.
Annathebest1: What's in your discman right now?
Alsou: The latest Destiny's Child track.
Gengis_Khan: Would you like to do a soundtrack for a movie? If so, what type of movie would it be?
Alsou: I would love to write and sing a song for a big love story.
Aman3: Do you wish to make it big in America?
Alsou: Yes, conquering American is scheduled in for September!
Ursula McDavid: How do your parents feel about your decision to be a singer?
Alsou: They've been really supportive and my dad I think is my biggest fan.
Casey Doogan: Do you miss anything now that your famous?
Alsou: Yes, I miss being at college and spending time with friends and family.
Kathyrn Conway: Do you have any phobias?
Alsou: I hate spiders and any kind of slimey insects.
Kevin Clancey: Do you have a favourite football team?
Alsou: I'm not really a big football fan but I'd have to say Spartak Russia!

Alsou: Kings Road and Covent Garden
Robert Brown: When is your single and album coming out?
Alsou: The single is released Monday the 30th of April and the album is planned for this June.
