Alsou has recorded a song "Etkey" in her native Tatarian language.

Alsou's grandparents had often reproached her for her poor knowledge of Tatar culture and for not using her talent to popularize it.
"You so rarely sing in our native language," Alsou's grandmother complained.

Alsou said she was afraid of mispronouncing the language, so her grandmother then called her relatives and asked them to teach Alsou the Tatar language and folk songs.
The result has followed soon: "I called my grandma before the recording, sang the song to her by the phone and she gave me useful advice on pronunciation," - Alsou told to Zhizn.
