While performing at the Circus 2002 awards ceremony, pop star Alsou was not at her best as a "singer." While lip-syncing her song "Vsyo ravno" (I Don’t Care), she flubbed her lines a couple of times, but attracted public attention with other interesting facts about herself, the daily Zhizn wrote. First, her new producer Alexander Shevchenko showed up in an unusual role – as Alsou’s bodyguard. It turns out Alsou’s regular bodyguard – a handsome African man – had gone on vacation.

But what drew every eye to the stage was the huge diamond in Alsou’s navel.

"I’ve dreamed of piercing my belly button for a long time," Alsou confessed, "but my father wouldn’t give me permission. But recently, after he gave me this diamond, I couldn’t resist the temptation."

Continuing her theme of parental gifts, Alsou showed off her Gucci watch. "My dad knows very well that I can’t stand cheap presents," she said with a mysterious smile.
